Job summary

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 3rd Grade Teacher for Lincoln Park Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. The teacher will deliver engaging lessons, differentiate instruction, and support both academic and social-emotional development for EK-8 education with a focus on character education and technology-enhanced classrooms.

Applicants must hold an Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area and a bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Ability to work in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working within an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
• Use research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Incorporate technology to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in non-instructional activities as needed.
