BASIS Ed is seeking a qualified Math/Science Teacher for 3rd grade in the Baton Rouge metro area. The candidate will prepare and facilitate lesson plans, delivering instruction aligned to the BASIS Curriculum while tailoring topics to the subject area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter or 24+ credits in subject matter with another degree.
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade-specific lesson plans.
• Provide instruction above grade level in an interactive environment to achieve exceptional results.
• Implement BASIS Curriculum with creative lessons and assessments to be internationally competitive.
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and build a professional community.
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to elevate academic trajectory.
• Maintain respectful classroom behavior to foster achievement, responsibility, intellect, and individuality.
• Support non-instructional duties such as Early Bird, Late Bird, and lunch supervision.
• Maintain regular, full attendance.
• Supervise individuals or groups of students.
