Job summary

Hebrew Public is seeking a 3rd Grade ICT Teacher to deliver engaging, standards-based instruction and monitor student progress. You’ll collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching practices and implement IEP goals within an integrated classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s degree is a plus.
• K-12 lead teaching experience in a classroom setting is a plus.
• Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools is a plus.
• Hold NY teacher certification or working towards certification is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA.
• Committed to all students with high academic standards.
• Committed to professional growth through feedback and self-reflection.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services to students with IEPs in reading, mathematics, and writing.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the student’s IEP.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students.
• Communicate and conference with parents providing information on student progress.
• Manage and support an organized and professional classroom that is conducive to learning.
• Prepare students for the NYS State Exam.
• Collaborate with peers and administration to develop multifaceted curriculum.
• Lead classroom differentiation through curricular modifications and integrated strategies.
• Assess and develop goals for the IEP process.
• Implement IEP goals and strategies into an integrated classroom.
• Maintain awareness of school initiatives and reflect them in work.
• Regularly report student progress and maintain records on achievement and IEP goals.
• Review data daily and amend approach accordingly.
• Attend IEP meetings and parent conferences.
• Develop strong relationships with parents and students to foster school culture.
• Meet professional obligations: deadlines, schedules, collaboration.
