Job summary

DC Scholars Public Charter School is seeking a 3rd Grade ELA/Math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year on a rolling basis. You will foster a high-expectation culture, deliver rigorous instruction, and collaborate with families to support student achievement.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree and have urban teaching experience or a strong commitment to educational equity, with responsibilities including PLC participation and data-driven instruction. Rolling applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of teaching experience, urban setting preferred.
• Commitment to educational equity and mission of DC Scholars.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a productive classroom environment and strong routines.
• Lead whole group and small group instruction with data-driven plans.
• Review IEPs/504s and provide appropriate modifications.
• Engage in weekly PLCs and coaching sessions with timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records in required systems.
• Engage families through events and conferences.
