Job summary

Great Hearts Invictus Lower School in Helotes, TX is seeking a 3rd–5th Grade Homeroom Teacher to guide students in a love of learning using the Great Hearts curriculum.

You will teach with an Assistant/Apprentice Teacher, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address needs, while upholding school culture and safety procedures. Must have a Bachelor’s degree; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
