Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program.
• Active RN license in Illinois is required.

• Ability to work well with residents of varying ages and medical needs.
• Must meet physical job requirements, including lifting, bending, and standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide total care for residents on the assigned unit during the shift.
• Collaborate with allied health team to develop and implement care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per policy and monitor effectiveness.
• Maintain an environment that supports residents’ physical, emotional, and social well‑being.
• Educate residents and families about care plans and procedures.
• Monitor team performance and participate in staff evaluations and development.
• Assign and oversee nursing duties to ensure tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Stay current with facility procedures and participate in in‑service training.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide total care for residents on assigned unit during scheduled shift as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Collaborate with allied health team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with policy and evaluate effectiveness
• Maintain an environment that supports residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
• Educate residents and families about care plans, treatments, and procedures
• Monitor team performance and support staff development, evaluations, and corrective actions as needed
• Assign and oversee nursing duties to ensure tasks are completed appropriately and efficiently
• Stay current on facility procedures and participate in in-service and continuing education
• Identify and respond to significant changes in residents’ conditions
• Accurately document care provided, changes in condition, and other relevant information per facility guidelines
• Act as a charge nurse and serve as a resource for staff, offering clinical support and decision-making guidance
• Follow all facility and departmental safety protocols

Skills and Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
