Job description

Company: CE North America LLC Title: 3PL & Warehousing Manager (Director-level title possible for the right candidate) Location: [Miami, FL / Memphis / Remote, U.S., OR Remote LATAM] with frequent domestic travel within the USA.

CE North America is looking for a Spanish and English speaking hands‑on 3PL & Warehousing Manager to own our third‑party logistics and warehousing network across the United States. You will be the single point of accountability for how our product moves into, through, and out of our warehouses, and for making sure we pay the right price for it.

This role combines day‑to‑day operational control with commercial strategy. You will manage performance and relationships with our current 3PL partners, know the market well enough to negotiate rates with confidence, and continuously scout new 3PL and warehousing options as our footprint grows, especially on the West Coast and in the Midwest.

Key responsibilities

3PL partner management

  • Serve as the primary owner of all 3PL and warehouse relationships, including SLAs, contracts, and escalations.

  • Run weekly operating reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with each partner.

  • Track partner performance against KPIs and drive corrective action plans when targets are missed.

  • Audit 3PL invoices against contracted rates and recover overcharges.

Inventory and flow control (in and out)

  • Maintain real‑time visibility of inventory across all sites: on‑hand, inbound, in‑transit, allocated, and damaged.

  • Oversee inbound receiving (containers, LTL, FTL), putaway, and dock‑to‑stock times.

  • Oversee outbound order fulfillment, pick/pack/ship accuracy, and on‑time shipping to retail and wholesale customers.

  • Lead regular cycle counts and reconcile 3PL WMS data with our ERP (SAP Business One).

  • Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and customs/import teams so warehouses are ready for incoming volume.

Rates, benchmarking, and negotiation

  • Build and maintain a market rate benchmark for storage (per pallet/month), handling (in/out), pick fees, value‑added services, and accessorials by region.

  • Lead rate renegotiations and contract renewals with existing partners using market comps.

  • Model total landed warehousing cost per unit and per order to guide decisions.

Network strategy and new partner sourcing

  • Continuously scout new 3PL and warehousing options, with a focus on the West Coast and Midwest.

  • Run RFIs/RFPs, conduct site visits, score bids, and recommend partners.

  • Plan and lead onboarding and transitions to new sites with minimal disruption to customers.

  • Recommend network design changes (number and location of nodes) as volume and customer mix evolve.

Reporting

  • Publish a weekly dashboard on inventory, throughput, KPIs, and cost.

  • Flag risks early: capacity constraints, peak‑season surcharges, labor issues, or partner instability.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years in warehousing, 3PL management, or distribution operations, with at least 2 years managing outside 3PL partners.

  • Proven record negotiating 3PL or warehouse contracts and achieving measurable cost savings.

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. 3PL pricing structures and current market rates by region.

  • Experience with WMS platforms and ERP integration; SAP Business One a plus.

  • Advanced Excel skills: cost models, rate comparisons, and inventory reconciliations.

  • Understanding of inbound import flows (ocean containers, drayage, transloading) and outbound retail compliance (routing guides, EDI, chargebacks).

  • Willingness to travel frequently across the U.S.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • Existing network of 3PL and warehouse contacts on the West Coast and in the Midwest.

  • Experience supporting big‑box or club retail customers.

  • Experience with Latin American trade lanes or cross‑border shipments.

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CLTD) or similar.

Travel and work arrangement

  • Expect roughly 30–40% travel, with frequent trips to the West Coast and Midwest.

  • Travel covers on‑site partner reviews, audits, cycle counts, peak‑season support, new site visits, and onboarding of new warehouses.

  • Some short‑notice travel may be needed for escalations or partner transitions.

  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel by air within the U.S.
