Job summary

The Learning Experience - Brooklyn Bay Ridge is looking for a UPK Lead Teacher who will balance classroom teaching with leadership duties. You will meet with parents, coordinate with administration to craft education plans, observe colleagues, and share effective strategies to support student growth.

You will track student progress and help maintain a positive, structured early childhood learning environment with a schedule from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Education: Must have Early childhood or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with administration to create education plans for the students.
• Sitting in on the classes of other teachers in an observational role.

Full Job Description

A UPK Lead Teacher is responsible for taking the considerations of teachers, administration, and parents into account and using those preferences to craft educational structures that allow the students to learn. Lead Teachers still conduct their own classes like any other Teacher, but they also have additional responsibilities, such as:

• Meeting with parents to discuss the goals and needs of students in their program
• Coordinating with administration to create education plans for the students
• Sitting in on the classes of other teachers in an observational role
• Using information from observations to help other teachers grow by noting ineffective areas and sharing alternative methods that are more successful
• Tracking the academic performance of students for signs of progress.

Education: Must have Early childhood or related field.
