Job summary

Synapri is seeking a Senior 3GPP Standards Delegate to drive next-generation wireless standardisation. You will craft technical proposals, promote patented innovations and represent the company at 3GPP RAN1/2/3 meetings, influencing global radio access technology directions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, operate with a strong track record in 5G NR and related technologies, and lead or co-lead standardisation efforts that translate research into practical, scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years contributing to 3GPP RAN1/2/3 standardisation.
• Proven track record of 3GPP proposals and patentable innovations.

As a 3GPP Standards Delegate, you will contribute to the development of next-generation wireless standards by creating and promoting innovative technical proposals within 3GPP. Leveraging the organisation's intellectual property, you will help shape the future of radio access technologies and drive advancements in global wireless communications.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the business at 3GPP RAN1/RAN2/RAN3 meetings, contributing to the development of global wireless standards.
• Develop and promote 3GPP technical proposals and patented innovations.
• Research, define and evaluate next-generation radio access technologies.
• Design and develop L1/L2 radio technologies, with a focus on physical layer specifications.
• Use simulation tools to validate and optimise new concepts and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical proposals to industry stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience contributing to 3GPP RAN1 and/or RAN2/RAN3 standardisation.
• Proven track record of developing 3GPP technical proposals and patentable innovations.
• Strong knowledge of 5G NR and next-generation wireless technologies.
• Experience as a Feature Lead or Rapporteur within RAN1/RAN2/RAN3 is advantageous.
