Job summary

Volex is seeking an on-site X-ray inspection technician in Irvine, CA. You will set up and operate 3D X-ray inspection equipment to examine PCBA assemblies for defects and variances.

You will interpret 3D images to determine acceptability of solder joints and component placement, and review related paperwork to ensure correct inspection sequencing. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing QC, are US persons, and can read and understand English.

Qualifications

• At least three years in a technical manufacturing environment, preferably in quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate 3D X-ray inspection equipment for PCBA inspection.
• Interpret 3D X-ray images to assess solder joints and component placement.
• Read labor routers, work instructions and PCBA drawings to determine inspection requirements.
