Job summary

Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time Technical Artist to join our Neuroscience Publications team. You will support 3D animation production, pipeline automation, tool design, and rendering workflows to advance our scholarly content.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of 3D animation experience, hands-on experience with Maya, Houdini, After Effects, and scripting in Python, MEL, PyMel, or C++.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in 3D animation, compositing, tool creation, and pipeline design.
• Portfolio demonstrates CG work and production pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Technical 3D Artist with building custom tools and pipeline scripts for animation production and department needs.
• Provide technical support to the medical animation team for 3D scenes, render problems, and automation.
• Backend render farm support, orchestration, backups, and render wrangling.
• Support 3D asset archiving and cataloging.
• Document new production tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with Barrow Informatics to ensure cybersecurity compliance.
