Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician to set up and monitor 3D printers, perform basic quality checks, and assist with preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

You will document issues, participate in lean six sigma projects, and ensure a clean, safe workspace while supporting inventory and shipping activities. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of completed coursework in industrial design, engineering, or related technical field preferred.
• 3D Printing operation experience preferred, not required.
• U.S. Citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
• Valid driver’s license to drive forklift.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor 3D printers including related support equipment.
• Understand root cause of printer downtime issues and implement self-sustaining systems to maximize uptime.
• Drive down scrap on all 4210 printers using the DMAIC process.
• Optimize preventative maintenance and set plant-wide standards.
• Provide thorough documentation of common issues and methods in which we solve them.
• Perform basic inspection operations with digital calipers, micrometers, etc. to validate 3d printer set ups and operations.
• Perform and/or support preventative maintenance of machines and cleaning of the equipment and surrounding area(s).
• Participate in lean six sigma projects to enhance quality and improve operational performance (OEE).
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas (5S).
• Support inventory control, material receiving, and shipping-related activities.
