Job summary

GPRS is seeking a Data Technician in the United States to support the Mapping and Modeling team by registering raw scan data into usable point clouds for clients and staff. This role involves collaborating with field teams and clients through all post-processing stages, ensuring accuracy, on-time delivery, and high data quality while contributing to ongoing industry development and best practices.

Qualifications

• Holds a High School Diploma.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Strong computer literacy skills, comfortable with various software and tools.
• Demonstrate a systematic approach to tasks and projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Keen eye for detail, ensuring precision in all tasks.
• Passion for solving puzzles and tackling challenges, with a natural curiosity to learn and explore new concepts.
• Possesses strong technical skills and an aptitude for understanding complex systems.
• Works effectively both independently and as part of a team, showing flexibility and adaptability in different work environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
• Demonstrates a history of taking independent responsibility for tasks and projects.
• Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others and seek help when needed.

Responsibilities

• Use point cloud software to accurately register raw scan data into usable point clouds.
• QA/QC point cloud registrations to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Align point clouds to specific coordinates or existing client models.
• Work as part of a team and individually on projects.
• Actively engage with project managers and clients through all post processing stages of the project.
• Responsible for on-time completion, quality, and client satisfaction on projects.
• Keep company ERP systems accurately updated with project information and status.
• Research industry trends and competition to stay educated within the industry.
• Maintain an up-to-date electronic schedule/calendar.
