Job summary

Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist for an affiliated practice in Akron, OH. The role involves performing 3D digital mammography, quality control, and ensuring equipment functions properly. The technician must meet ARRT credentials, have English proficiency, and support MQSA/ACR requirements.

The position emphasizes accuracy, independent work, and timely delivery of results, with a schedule that includes Fridays and coverage for PTO as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
• Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.
• Must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English.
• Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
• Assess quality and verify patient information in mammographic images.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Deliver mammography results timely and escalate as needed.
• Support MQSA and ACR requirements and continuing education.
