Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Control Modeler/Survey CAD Technician in Burnsville, MN. You will build precise 3D machine control models and manage CAD and survey data to support projects across the Midwest using Trimble software (Siteworks, Earthworks, and Business Center).

Qualifications

• Two years' experience with Trimble Business Center and civil software.
• Ability to read and interpret grading plans, road alignments, and site details.
• FAA 107 Remote Pilot License or ability to obtain within one year.
• Strong problem-solving, highly organized, and self-motivated.
• Previous field surveying experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct 3D machine control and site layout models for Trimble products.
• Perform earthwork takeoffs using survey data and CAD outputs.
• Support field crews with digital design data and CAD standards.
• Review and transform CAD file formats as needed.
• Perform drafting for as-builts and related tasks.
