Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Imaging Technician for the heart hospital. This is a full-time, overnight position (M-F, 23:00–07:00) with 40 hours per week.

You will perform routine and advanced MR, CT, and intraoperative imaging, create 3D reconstructions, and post-process data for clinical use under supervision. Requires 3 years of MR/CT experience, ARRT CT/MR certification, and preferred cardiac imaging experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical MR, CT or Interventional Radiology experience.
• Cardiac imaging experience preferred.
• ARRT CT or MR registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced imaging including MR, CT, and intraoperative imaging.
• Generate 3D visualizations for diagnostic and interventional planning.
• Post-process imaging data and transfer to 3D software platforms and workstations.

City/StateNorfolk, VAWork ShiftThird (Nights)Overview:Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Advanced Imaging Tech for the heart hospital.This is a Full-time, 40 hour per week Overnight position- M- F 23:00 - 7:00Performs routine as well as Advanced Cardiac MR, Advanced Neuro MR/ CT imaging in the intraoperative environment and Advanced 3D Imaging for Neuro/Vascular Treatment Planning. Performs manipulation of digital cross-sectional images with 3D software in multiple planes and dimensions for clinical visualization and quantitative analysis of diagnostic and interventional studies as directed by a Physician. Performs fiber tracking of MR DTI imaging as directed by a Radiologist and/or Surgeon. Post process paradigms for functional MRI imaging under guidance of a Neuro Radiologist. Manages transfer of image data to various technology/workstations, such as: 3D software platforms and intraoperative navigational systems. Utilizes the radiology information system to complete department documentation; operates equipment safely; provides patient and family education; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational in accordance with infection control criteria.3 years clinical experience in MR, CT or Interventional Radiology required.
