Lyten, Inc. is seeking a Composites Materials Technician II (Swing Shift) to support the production of Lyten 3D Graphene thermoplastic composites.

You will operate melt processors, extrusion equipment, and 3D printers, while performing quality control and maintaining rigorous documentation. The role requires hands-on experience in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (unrelated field) OR Associate degree (unrelated field) AND 1+ year of relevant experience in fast growth manufacturing or machining environments, control systems, or a related area
• Experience in a manufacturing or start up environment
• Hands-on experience with melt processing, particularly extrusion or compounding, in a production or scale-up setting
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be a team player and able to work under minimal supervision
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals

Responsibilities

• Operate and support production processes to create Lyten 3D Graphene thermoplastic composites
• Maintain and troubleshoot Lyten melt processors and extruders
• Chemically modify graphene powders using Lyten reactors
• Operate 3D printers to produce parts
• Conduct quality control tests and document results
• Perform routine maintenance on lab and production equipment
• Assist in installation and setup of laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoot machinery and identify root causes
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and maintenance
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Maintain organized and clean work area
• Stay updated on best practices and new technologies
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and drive innovation
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized work
