Job summary

ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical Group seeks a 3D Electrical Staff Designer to join our U.S. offices. You will create and refine detailed drawings with AutoCAD and REVIT, perform site walkdowns, and collaborate closely with engineers.

You will mentor junior designers, ensure safety and quality standards, and manage time effectively on diverse projects, balancing drafting with design development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 1+ year design engineering experience or an Associate degree with 6+ years, or 10+ years experience.
• Proficient with 2D and 3D design software; AutoCAD and Revit required; BIM 360 preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical design codes, standards, and design execution relevant to the discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Create/modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT; develop REVIT families and perform clash checks.
• Conduct client walkdowns at sites and generate walkdown reports with engineers and other designers.
• Self-check drawings and mentor junior designers while ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Follow organizational procedures and safety policies; communicate effectively with engineers.
• Manage time effectively to meet discipline-specific goals.
