Job description

Insight Global is hiring a 3D Electrical Designer for a client in the Houston area (Jersey Village). This role will be responsible for designing various electrical components, including switchgears, electrical cabinets/enclosures, and more. The successful candidate will join a team of existing designers (6+ members) and collaborate with the engineering team for schematics and design approvals.

Responsibilities:

1. Design electrical components such as switchgears, electrical cabinets, and enclosures.
2. Collaborate with engineering team for schematic interpretation and design approvals.
3. Utilize CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.

Must Haves:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics and designing electrical panels/enclosures.
• Associates degree or higher in engineering, CAD, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• 5-10+ years of relevant experience.

Plusses:

• Bilingual in mechanical (AutoDesk Inventor) and electrical (AutoCAD Electrical) software.
• Experience taking electrical enclosures from start to finish.
