Job summary
Kitware is seeking a research-focused professional to advance 3D vision research, including photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video. You will work on aerial and satellite imagery projects and contribute to open source frameworks such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
You’ll collaborate with government and industry partners, publish your results, present at conferences, and explore funding opportunities to grow your research areas, with opportunities
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with multiview geometry for 3D reconstruction.
- AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or calibration.
- Strong software practices and proficiency in C++/Python.
- Exceptional publications in CVPR/ICCV/ECCV or similar.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop solutions for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from imagery.
- Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
- Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
- Prepare and present research findings to customers and collaborators.
- Present at conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.) and seek funding for research growth.
- Pursue opportunities to apply AI techniques to national security challenges.
