Job summary

ProSource Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Draftsman / Designer in Houston, TX. The candidate will develop precise mechanical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, translating layouts into production-ready designs for machinists.

The role requires at least 2 years of drafting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical drafting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor / Inventor 3D.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Create 2D drawings for machinists and production teams.
• Develop 3D solid models and assemblies in Inventor.
• Draft mechanical seals and seal-related components.
• Ensure drawings meet dimensions, tolerances and manufacturing needs.
• Collaborate with machinists to communicate manufacturing requirements.
• Review and revise drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
