Job summary

Architectural Fabrication, Inc. is seeking a Designer (3D CAD) to develop design models and detailed fabrication drawings for clients and fabrication teams in Fort Worth, TX.

You will manage design tasks through the project timeline and collaborate with project managers to ensure on-time, accurate deliverables. The role requires 2 years of 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) and 1 year of post-secondary CAD education, with strong drafting knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Two years of professional 3D CAD experience with custom models and fabrication drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
• One year of 3D CAD post-secondary education (SolidWorks preferred).
• Knowledge of advanced drafting principles and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to focus for extended periods.
• Ability to be productive, efficient, and consistently provide high-quality work.
• Ability to learn and follow company design processes; ability to visit fabrication shop wearing proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed submittal and fabrication drawings of products using parts and assemblies modeled in SolidWorks.
• Creating bills of material (BOM).
• Managing the design responsibilities through the entirety of a project timeline.
• Working closely with project managers to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
• Collaborating with the engineering department.
• Consulting with construction and fabrication departments about drawings.
• Assisting design team members on projects as needed and performing other related duties.
