Job summary

Herff Jones is seeking a 3D CAD Designer to translate 2D artwork into 3D CAD models for our jewelry and awards products. This on-site role requires meticulous attention to tolerances and the ability to produce tool paths for CNC machining.

You will collaborate with graphic design and production teams, prepare 3D solid models, send files to 3D printers, and support molds and die requests. Starting pay is $26 per hour, on-site five days a week in Warwick, RI.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Rhino CAD design software preferred.
• Ability to adhere to close tolerances and attention to detail is required.
• Proficiency in Windows PC including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with 2D Adobe Illustrator preferred.
• Jewelry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret art drawings into 3D models and create tool paths for CNC machining.
• Produce numeric tool path programs for CNC engraving.
• Review die requisitions and ensure design captures the original art.
• Create 3D solid models and forward molds/die requests.
• Send files to 3D printers and manage post-print cleanup.
