Job summary

Herff Jones in Warwick, RI is seeking a 3D CAD Designer to join the Operations team. The role involves designing 3D models from 2D artwork using our CAD program and preparing tool paths for CNC machining.

You will interpret art drawings, create 3D solid models, and coordinate with the graphic design department to ensure accurate reproduction of designs. On-site position with starting pay of $26 per hour, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Rhino CAD design software.
• Ability to adhere to close tolerances and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Windows PC including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with 2D Adobe Illustrator preferred.
• Jewelry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret art drawings into 3D computer models and produce tool paths for CNC machining.
• Create 3D solid models from 2D artwork for production.
• Coordinate with design department to capture original art in 3D form.
• Prepare and forward finished production molds and die requests as needed.
• Send files to 3D printers and manage post-processing.
