Job summary

Nuclear Fusion Energy Co. is seeking a design engineer to develop and document plant process systems for a groundbreaking isotope production facility in the nuclear medicine sector. You will work with 3D modeling tools to integrate mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical scopes from multiple vendors.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of recent design experience or a bachelor’s degree with design exposure, plus strong proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related discipline with 3–5 years recent design experience, or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D required.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks required.

Responsibilities

• Design and document plant process systems using 3D modeling tools, including components, process skids, and facility plans covering mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical scopes, integrating information from vendors and CAD/BIM platforms.
• Create and modify PFD, P&ID, and 3D plant and system piping in AutoCAD Plant 3D; modify 3D models of tanks, vessels, piping, and equipment, and generate detailed mechanical drawings.
