Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc in Greenville, SC seeks an HVAC Designer with nuclear-focused drafting experience to create 2D CAD drawings and 3D models, read and generate complex design drawings, and support project leads.

You will develop estimates and schedules, review vendor equipment documentation for compliance, perform material take-offs, and ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Nuclear HVAC experience highly preferred
• Drafting/designer experience in engineering fields (electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, etc.)
• Working knowledge of federal/state/local codes and standards
• Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Ability to learn/apply local, state, federal statutes and guidelines
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work
• Knowledge of material costs and availability
• Practical field experience
• Proficient in word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation software
• Completion of HVAC Designer Skills and Experience Self-Assessment Form

Responsibilities

• Create 2D CAD drawings of moderate complexity
• Develop 3D layouts and models (S3D preferred)
• Interpret and generate design drawings with minimal supervision
• Walk-down field systems and implement field directions
• Develop estimates, schedules, staffing, and progress reports
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance
• Perform bulk material take-off analysis
• Adhere to industry codes and department procedures
• Other duties as assigned
