Job summary

NuWaves RF Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Inspector (AOI Programmer) in Middletown, OH to program and operate Koh Young 3D AOI systems for high-reliability PCB assemblies. You will perform IPC-A-610/Class 3 inspections, set inspection thresholds, and contribute to first article and in-process inspections.

The role requires strong SMT knowledge, ability to read CAD/Gerber data, and experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems to ensure compliance and root-cause analysis for defects.

Qualifications

• Certification as IPC-A-610 CIS or CIT is required or preferred.
• Experience programming/operating Koh Young 3D AOI systems (Zenith/KSMART).
• Strong SMT process knowledge and ability to read PCB fabrication data.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Koh Young 3D AOI systems using CAD data, Gerber files, and BOM.
• Set inspection thresholds and models for solder joint quality to minimize false calls.
• Perform IPC-A-610 Class 2/3 inspections on SMT and through-hole assemblies.
• Conduct First Article Inspections per AS9102 and document NCRs.
• Identify root causes of defects and support corrective actions.
