Job description

Position Overview

Under the direct supervision of the 340B Compliance Manager or Designee, incumbent is responsible for assisting the 340B Compliance Team in all aspects for all current and future HopeHealth 340B Pharmacy Operations. The incumbent must work with patients, clinic staff, in-house pharmacy staff, contract pharmacy staff, TPA account managers, Pharmacy Leadership Team, as well as Senior Leadership Team to ensure the HopeHealth receives the highest return on 340B services while adhering to internal policies as well as state and federal rules and regulations.

Education And Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must maintain Pharmacy Technician Registration or State Certification (preferred), in good standing, with the SC Board of Pharmacy
  • 5 years of pharmacy work experience required
  • Specialty pharmacy experience preferred
  • Prior customer service required
  • Experience with PioneerRx Software preferred
  • Experience with ECW preferred
  • Experience with 340B operations preferred
  • Experience with pharmacy purchasing/inventory preferred

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Mission, Vision, and Core Values
  • Follows HIPAA, FWA, Corporate Compliance, internal policies, and applicable state and federal laws
  • Serves as a communication liaison between clinic, pharmacies (in-house and contract) and pharmacy stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn 340B and become an Apexus Certified Expert (ACE) within 24 months of start date.
  • Assists the Pharmacy Leadership Team to ensure compliance of the 340B pharmacy program.
  • Assists with the oversight and management of 340B pharmacy programs including but not limited to: audits, TPA claims review, TPA referrals, MFP reconciliation, Rebate submission and reconciliation, Big Ask Campaign, and others as identified.
  • Assists with monitoring utilization records and 340B purchasing accounts to ensure that software or tools are working properly and accurately, performing audits or compliance assessments internally as needed.
  • Assists with coordinating and preparation of external compliance assessments with outside firms, HRSA, manufacturers, payors, among others, when appropriate.
  • Reviews daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports to identify any potentially missed 340B opportunities and/or issues.
  • Ability to support purchasing/inventory
  • Assists with improving processes related to 340B programs.
  • Travels to other HopeHealth locations and contract pharmacies as deemed necessary by Director or Manager
  • Collaborates with Clinical, Pharmacy, IT, Finance, PCA, Compliance, and Operational Teams to support compliant and efficient administration of the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
  • Collaborates with other clinic or pharmacy team members to work on special projects that may be identified
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity adequately to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted in normal daily activities and up to 30 lbs. for other required work activities. Additionally, requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (especially if keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
