Job summary

Carter’s in Stockbridge, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain the Distribution Center daily using preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring safety and reliability of conveyors and material handling equipment.

Reporting to the Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance, this role focuses on 75% operations and 25% support functions, including facility upkeep, coordinating repairs, training Maintenance Tech I, and ensuring OSHA and C-TPAT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and break down maintenance on conveyors and other material handling equipment.
• Offer guidance and training to Maintenance Tech I associates as needed.
• Ensure that all work, including work performed by subcontractors, is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and Carter’s safety rules.
• Responsible for observing housekeeping, safety and C-TPAT compliance in assigned area of responsibility; Stay within compliance of the company policies regarding safety.
• Maintenance of facility property, not limited to building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems, etc.
• Assist with planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines, and equipment.
• Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties as assigned including all operational areas of the Distribution Center
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

This role typical reports into the Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center.

75%: Daily Operations
