Job summary

Carter’s, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II at our Stockbridge Distribution Center. The role focuses on daily operations, preventive and corrective maintenance of conveyors and material handling equipment, and adherence to Carter’s safety rules and OSHA regulations.

You will guide Maintenance Tech I as needed, assist with planning maintenance activities, and support all distribution center operations under the Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• Performs preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on conveyors and other material handling equipment.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and Carter’s safety rules.
• Observes housekeeping, safety and C-TPAT compliance in area of responsibility.
• Supports maintenance planning and coordination of repairs and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the distribution center equipment and facilities to ensure safe, efficient daily operations.
• Provide guidance and training to Maintenance Tech I as needed.
• Assist with planning and coordinating maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines, and equipment.
• Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all assigned duties and distribution center operations.

This role typical reports into the Sr. Mgr. Safety and Maintenance and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center.- 75%: Daily Operations· Perform preventative, corrective, and break down maintenance on conveyors and other material handling equipment.· Offer guidance and training to Maintenance Tech I associates as needed.* Ensure that all work, including work performed by subcontractors, is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and Carter’s safety rules.· Responsible for observing housekeeping, safety and C-TPAT compliance in assigned area of responsibility; Stay within compliance of the company policies regarding safety.- 25%: Support Functions* Maintenance of facility property, not limited to building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems, etc.· Assist with planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines, and equipment.· Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties as assigned including all operational areas of the Distribution Center· Perform other tasks as assigned.*Carters is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
