Job description

The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Outreach Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Training to coordinate and deliver MHFA trainings requested by community partners. MHFA is an evidence-based course designed to teach skills to assist individuals developing mental health problems or experiencing crises. Bluebonnet Trails Community Services funds these trainings through state and federal sources across an 8-county area.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage a regional plan for Youth and Adult MHFA training across various community sectors.
2. Establish partnerships through marketing and community involvement to facilitate training schedules.
3. Ensure timely submission of reports, invoices, and compliance with funding requirements.
4. Maintain current curricula and analyze training data to meet community needs.

Location & Compensation

Location: All counties, remote work. Must reside in BTCS service area.

Hourly Salary Range: $24.87 – $30.62

Differentials

• Bilingual: +$0.75/hour
• Advanced Licensure: +$1.00/hour
• Previous Community Center Experience: up to +$2.00/hour
• Specialty: +$1.00/hour
• Tenure with BTCS: +$1.00/hour

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's in social work, psychology, or related field; experience in mental health assessments; valid Texas driver’s license. Preferred: Licenses (LPHA, LPC, LCSW, etc.), bilingual, MHFA facilitator certification.
