Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Melt Shop Manager to own melt shop operations for a three‑shift aluminum operation, leading a twelve‑person team through composition accuracy, casting output and safety. The ideal candidate has several years of melt shop or foundry supervision with a strong aluminum background, proven ability to run three shifts and develop hourly staff.

Compensation includes up to $110,000 salary, up to 10% annual bonus, and relocation support; the site is part of a long‑standing metals group

Qualifications

Several years of melt shop or foundry supervisory experience, aluminum alloy background preferred.
Experience running a three-shift operation with consistency across shifts.
Ability to lead and develop an hourly production team and enforce safety in molten aluminum handling.

Responsibilities

Lead a twelve-person team across three shifts in aluminum melt operations.
Ensure alloy composition accuracy and manage alloy selection between aluminum and magnesium if needed.
Schedule furnaces and manage casting output across all shifts.
Supervise and develop shift staff; backfill due to leadership change.
Enforce safety protocols for molten aluminum handling and high-heat operations.
Track yield and scrap to maintain cross-shift consistency.
