Job summary

General Motors in Arlington, TX is seeking a Maintenance Group Leader to oversee a salaried team of maintenance leaders, ensuring preventive maintenance and rapid diagnosis of equipment issues. You will lead in a fast-paced production setting, coordinating across shifts and driving safety, quality, and reliability initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong safety culture, and ability to work all three shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in high-volume manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years managing maintenance activities and hourly personnel.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation (schematics, blueprints, machine manuals).
• Ability to work/rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd).
• Ability to travel <25% domestically and/or internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and coordinate work to meet production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Support implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GM safety and quality standards.
• Direct supervision of maintenance group leaders across 3 shifts.
• Lead workplace safety system elements and performance standards.
• Lead training and versatility programs for hourly and salary maintenance teams.
