Job summary

General Motors Corporation in Arlington, TX seeks a Maintenance Lead to oversee a small to medium group of salaried maintenance Group Leaders. This onsite role supports three shifts, leading hands-on maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.

You will drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement, schedule maintenance tasks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and meet production targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience managing maintenance activities and hourly personnel.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation (schematics, blueprints, machine manuals)
• Ability to work and rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd).

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and coordinate work assignments to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Lead implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Direct supervision across 3 shifts of operation.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in GM standards.
• Lead training & versatility activities for hourly and salary maintenance team.
