Job description

We are hiring a Subscription Services Operator for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a #3 Subscription Services Operator, you will be responsible for performing set-up tasks, monitoring equipment, and troubleshooting on our Core Publishing Solutions team. You will also be eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus upon being in the role for 90 days.

Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota

  • 2nd shift – 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts

About the Role:

  • Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements
  • Performing set-up tasks
  • Monitoring equipment and product quality; obtaining maintenance support as needed
  • Performing simple to moderately complex troubleshooting related to product or equipment
  • Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off
  • Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventative maintenance
  • Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files
  • Documenting activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), e.g., material usage, equipment issues
  • Performing feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, or physical inventory cycle count activities
  • Participating in safety programs and fostering a safe culture
  • Meeting or exceeding quality and productivity standards using standard work procedures
  • Generating, implementing, and sustaining continuous improvement ideas
  • Participating in project teams as needed
  • Providing backup for other operators during absences or breaks
  • Recommending and implementing process improvements

About You:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher; vocational/technical degree preferred
  • Good mechanical and technical skills, troubleshooting ability, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts and continuous improvement
  • Competent with rulers and measurement
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with Perfect Binders, collators, trimmers, inline boxing, palletizing, and other printing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
  • Physical ability to lift at least 5 lbs above shoulder, push, pull, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, and kneel regularly
  • Willing to wear PPE including steel toe shoes and ear protection

Bonus: Base salary plus variable compensation based on success

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws regarding pay transparency. The hourly pay range for this role in eligible US locations is $18 - $33, with potential for bonuses. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Total rewards include benefits and wellbeing programs.
