Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN, is seeking a #3 Press Operator to join our printing plant team on the 3rd shift. You will operate state-of-the-art offset and digital presses, perform setup, monitor quality, and assist with job documentation. You will also help with equipment monitoring, safety compliance, and maintaining a clean, organized work area in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher required or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in an industrial setting with production machinery is desirable.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills and the ability to read production orders.
• Understand electrical safety and safe work practices and PPE usage.
• Able to lift at least 5 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Regularly stand, walk, bend, and kneel during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the press crew with setup, operation, and production activities.
• Read the DSR and job specifications and stage materials for upcoming jobs.
• Quality check products, complete transactions, and tag/bundle as required.
• Fill in for Lead and Mid-Level Operators as needed, covering absences.
• Monitor equipment and maintain a clean work area, documenting in Tier Boards and SAP/MII.

As a **#3 Press Operator,** you will be responsible for working as a member of our Core Publishing Solutions team providing operational management and technical support. You will be operating state-of-the-art offset and digital web presses. For this role, you would also be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus upon being in the role for 90 days.**Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota*** 3rd Shift 10:30p - 6:30a* Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts**About the Role**In this opportunity as a **#3 Press Operator,** you will be responsible for:* Assisting the crew on the press, performing setup and production activities, typically on the back-end of the presses to ensure the press is running smoothly* Preparing for upcoming jobs by reading the DSR and job specifications, as well as staging materials* Quality checking products for our customers, completing transactions, bundling and tagging products* Filling in for Lead and Mid-Level Operators as needed including covering absences or breaks* Monitoring equipment and product quality, housekeeping procedures to maintain work area and equipment, documenting activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), i.e., material usage, equipment issues, and troubleshooting when necessary* Using safety equipment to comply with state and federal regulations, reporting all safety and environmental hazards, and attending safety and environmental training programs to ensure compliance and culture of safety**About You**You’re a fit for the role of **#3 Press Operator** if you have the following required qualifications:* Possess a High School Diplo ma or higher.
