Chateaugay Central School is seeking a part-time 3-hour bus driver responsible for safe and efficient transportation. The driver must have NYS CDL with P and S endorsements, be at least 21, and follow district safety procedures while interacting with students and staff.
Responsibilities include pre-trip checks, route planning, passenger safety instruction, record-keeping, and potential minor vehicle maintenance. Salary range posted in district notice and benefits negotiable.
The work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of a bus. This is manual work of average difficulty requiring skill in the operation of a large automotive vehicle. The operator is responsible for the safety and conduct of passengers. The work is performed under general supervision with considerable leeway allowed to the operator in carrying out the details of the work. The incumbent does related work as required.
In School Districts Candidate must possess the appropriate level New York State Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger ("P") and School ("S") endorsements at the time of application and must be at least 21 years of age at time of application, or equivalent NYS License ID number issued by the NYS DMV Bus Driver Unit indicating candidate meets Article 19-A requirements (copy of DS-500 Form must be submitted as verification).
In addition, candidates must satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver set forth in the New York Codes, Rules and Regulations Title 8, 156.3.
Salary Range: $11,086 - $13,259.
