Job summary

Sea Ray in Vonore, Tennessee, is seeking a Woodworker to build cabinetry and assemblies for boats. The role involves basic wood working, rough carpentry, and learning CNC routers and cabinet building in a collaborative shop.

You will read production schedules and blueprints, use hand and power tools safely, and contribute to quality craftsmanship in a dynamic marine production environment. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience in basic or rough carpentry.
Ability to read and understand production schedule and blueprints.
Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator if needed.
Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual.
Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
Working knowledge of procedures, instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system.

Responsibilities

Performs basic wood working or rough carpentry work on small or large boats.
Frequently involves use of staples and staple guns in assembly of rough wood structures to be covered with other materials (fiberglass, upholstery).
Includes mill assembly and lamination woodworking positions.
Must be willing to learn all aspects of woodshop including running CNC routers, cabinet building, and assembly builds.
