Brunswick is seeking a Woodworker to perform a range of cabinetry fabrication tasks for marine applications. The role includes basic to rough carpentry, reading blueprints and production schedules, and operating various hand tools and CNC equipment.

Position Overview

A Woodworker performs a wide variety of fabrication tasks centered around building cabinetry.

Essential Functions

• Performs basic wood working or rough carpentry work on small or large boats.
• Frequently involves use of staples and staple guns in assembly of rough wood structures to be covered with other materials (fiberglass, upholstery).
• Includes mill assembly and lamination woodworking positions.
• Must be willing to learn all aspects of woodshop including running CNC routers, cabinet building, and assembly builds.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in basic or rough carpentry
• Ability to read and understand production schedule and blueprints
• Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator if needed
• Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
• Working knowledge of procedures , instructions, and documents as it relates to the quality system

Working Conditions

• Must always possess the desire and ambition to work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.
• Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
• Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.

The pay range for this position is $20.90 - $23.65, hour ly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program . This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick's long-term incentive program.
