Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Wire Operator for 2nd shift in East Longmeadow, MA. Work hours are 3:15pm–11:45pm with a base pay of $19.96 plus a 9% shift differential, totaling about $21.75 per hour.

Responsibilities include operating swaging and straightening equipment, monitoring quality detectors, recording daily production data, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Requires 1–2 years' experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of charts, specifications and micrometers.
• Ability to read and use decimals accurately.
• Light physical effort required (5–25 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment to swage, straighten, anneal and draw wire to specified diameters.
• Feed wire through straightening rolls and defect detector; transfer coils as needed.
• Maintain maintenance logs and record production data daily.
• Keep work area clean, report malfunctions and follow all safety rules.
