Job summary

Caterpillar is hiring a 2nd Shift Welding Trainee – Production Support Technician in Victoria, Texas. Trainees operate fabrication machinery under supervision to produce quality metal parts, supporting a high-performance team in a safety-conscious environment.

Ideal candidates will meet physical requirements, have prior experience, and be at least 18 years old. The role offers shift flexibility during training and a structured program for on-the-job welding skills development.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to: lifting up to 35 lbs; standing and walking constantly; and frequently kneeling, climbing, and reaching with or without reasonable accommodations
• Prior employment and/or volunteer experience
• Caterpillar requires all candidates to be 18 years of age or older due to safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Welding Trainees perform a variety of welding and production duties while adhering to Caterpillar’s core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability.
• Welding Trainees work within and across zones on the production floor in areas such as assembly, fabrication, paint or other production areas, ensuring safety, quality and standard work protocol are followed.
