Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC seeks experienced Welder II/III for the 2nd shift in Virginia Beach, VA. This full-time onsite role offers $24.00-$32.00/hour plus a 15% shift differential, with overtime and potential conversion to permanent employment.

Responsibilities include MIG/TIG welding, fabricating structural components, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality standards. Candidates should read blueprints, measure accurately, and operate welding equipment safely in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• MIG welding is required; TIG experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong measuring, layout, and basic math skills.
• Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, wire, spot, and oxy/acetylene welding.
• Fabricate and assemble structural components including frames, I-beams, fuel tanks, and welded assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Set up materials and equipment for fabrication, assembly, and repairs.
• Use grinders, sanders, and other hand tools to finish welds and prepare materials.
• Inspect completed welds and perform repairs or rework as needed.
• Assist with pressure testing, quality inspections, and final product verification.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
