Job summary

Arcosa Inc. is hiring for 2nd shift Fitters/Welders at our Houston, TX manufacturing plant. You will apply welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts according to layouts and blueprints, using manual, auto, and semi-automatic welding equipment.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule 4:00 pm–1:45 am. The role involves inspecting welds, following safety rules, and potentially participating in safety initiatives while supporting product construction used on waterways

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year FCAW experience.
• Must satisfactorily pass vertical and overhead fillet weld tests using FCAW-G.
• Ability to understand weld size requirements.
• Ability to understand weld quality acceptance criteria.
• Willingness to wear all required PPE, including respirators.
• May involve working above ground, in confined spaces, and at heights.
• Metatarsal steel toe boots are required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Proficiently perform flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead fillet welds.
• Inspect your own welds to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Follow all safety rules and practices; may contribute to safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
