Job summary

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. seeks skilled welder/fabrication professionals for our West Allis foundry.

You will weld on various thicknesses and materials, fit and assemble components, and read blueprints to ensure precise builds under the 2nd shift premium. Qualifications

  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Weld on required thicknesses and materials including 1/16"+ with AR, A36, Stainless Steel, and Manganese.
  • Fit/assemble independently, including training others.
  • Expert in open table fitting/welding and blueprint interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure that you and the people around you are working safely.
  • Welding on all required thicknesses and materials.
  • Fitting/assembling independently including training others.
  • Expert in open table fitting/welding.
  • Expert at reading blueprints.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Determine what proper tools and machinery are required to complete the production schedule.
  • Complete a final inspection of all parts to meet quality standards.
  • Complete required monthly safety training.
  • Complete required PMs on department machinery.
  • Provide support and backup as needed and all other assigned projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Make sure that you and the people around you are working safely.
  2. Welding on all required thicknesses and materials such as 1/16" + with AR, A36, Stainless Steel, and Manganese using the proper filler metal.
  3. Fitting/assembling independently including training others.
  4. Expert in open table fitting/welding.
  5. Expert at reading blueprints.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  7. Take direction from a lead or leader on assigned daily tasks.
  8. Determine what proper tools and machinery are required to complete the production schedule.
  9. Complete a final inspection of all parts so that they meet the quality standard.
  10. Complete required monthly safety training.
  11. Complete required PMs on department machinery.
  12. Provide support and backup as needed and all other assigned projects and/or tasks.
  13. Helps drive and support BCT's Culture and Core Values.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • 10+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
  • The ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts.
  • Attention to Detail and thoroughness with all tasks.
  • The ability to make decisions and follow through.
  • The ability to perform multiple welding disciplines such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Welding certification preferred but not required.
