Job summary

Serco is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift in Two Harbors, MN. The role is full-time with hours Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm to 2:00am, reporting to the Welding Supervisor in Direct. You will set up components, perform wire feed welding, and inspect welds per blueprints.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of production welding experience or a completed welding course. An ability to read drawings is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in production welding or certification of successful completion of a welding course is required.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Setting up and aligning components using measuring tools (calipers, rulers, etc.)
• Wire feed welding components in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
• Testing and inspecting welded surfaces.
• Following blueprints and interpreting symbols, along with other duties as assigned.
