Job summary

Masco seeks a Wastewater Treatment Operator I to perform inspection, monitoring, and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations. The role requires handling industrial chemicals, calibration of analyzers, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant wastewater certification, plus at least one year in industrial chemicals or metal plating environments. Flexibility for all shifts is needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wastewater, water reclamation, and related treatment processes.
• Knowledge of methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance repair and operation of pumps.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot a problem or situation.
• Computer Skills.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• English reading, writing, verbal; bilingual (English Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities including batch treatment and equipment calibration.
• Initiate corrective actions for equipment deficiencies.
• Maintain records and reports.
• Calibrate chemical analyzers and pH meters.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair wastewater systems.
• Perform lubrications, cleaning, and pump repacking.
• Return equipment to operating status after shutdowns.
• Operate forklifts when necessary.
• Ensure housekeeping and safety compliance.
