Job summary

Palermo Villa, Inc. in Milwaukee's Villa Palermo facility is hiring a Warehouse Yard Dog for 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM). The role keeps trailers moving, operates a yard truck, and ensures safe, on-time material flow in a high-activity warehouse environment.

You should have CDL and warehouse experience; forklift eligibility preferred, and be comfortable working in cold and freezer conditions. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong focus on safety in high-traffic yard environments.
• Able to climb in/out of tractors and operate yard equipment.
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified.
• Prior yard dog, CDL, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work in cold (40°F) and freezer (-10°F) conditions.
• Class A CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers between docks and yard locations to ensure timely flow of materials.
• Operate a yard truck with precision in tight spaces and congested areas.
• Place jack stands, wheel chocks, and glad hand locks properly and consistently.
• Keep accurate logs and inspection reports for yard activities and vehicles.
• Prep trailers for loading, clean as needed, and manage refrigerated trailer units.
• Fill in as needed in freezer, cooler, or dock areas to maintain your skills and help your team.
