Job summary

Palermo’s Pizza is seeking a Warehouse Yard Dog for our Villa Palermo facility in Milwaukee, WI. This full-time position is on 2nd shift, 2:00PM–10:30PM, keeping trailers moving and the operation flowing around the clock.

You will safely move trailers, operate a yard truck in tight spaces, and ensure all safety procedures are followed. CDL Class A is required, with forklift experience preferred, and readiness to work in cold and freezer environments.

Qualifications

• Must have strong safety awareness in high-traffic yard environments.
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified.
• CDL Class A license required or equivalent.
• Prior yard dog, warehouse, or yard experience preferred.
• Able to work in cold environments (40°F) and freezer (-10°F).

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers between docks and yard locations to ensure timely flow of materials.
• Operate a yard truck with precision in tight spaces and congested areas.
• Place jack stands, wheel chocks, and glad hand locks properly and consistently.
• Keep logs and inspection reports for yard activities and vehicles.
• Prep trailers for loading, clean as needed, and manage refrigerated trailer units.
• Fill in as needed in freezer, cooler, or dock areas to maintain skills and help the team.

What You Bring…

• Strong focus on safety and awareness in high‑traffic yard environments
• Ability to climb in and out of tractors repeatedly and operate yard equipment confidently
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified
• Prior yard dog, CDL, or warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to work in both cold (40°F) and freezer (-10°F) conditions as part of the job
• Class A CDL required
