Job summary

Pet Food Experts is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee storage, selection, and distribution of items for customers, ensuring accurate loading and timely delivery while leading a warehouse team. The role requires 3–5 years in warehousing with at least 2 years of supervisory experience; candidates should read and write English, communicate effectively, and be forklift certified.

WMS familiarity and bar code tech knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Warehouse distribution experience required or preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, including numbers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and loading dock processes.
• Certified to operate forklifts and related equipment.
• Awareness of safety procedures and hazard prevention.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and good attendance record.
• Familiarity with WMS and bar code technology is a plus.
• 3–5 years in warehousing with 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse activities to ensure smooth, consistent operations.
• Plan and coordinate staff workload; train and motivate the team.
• Monitor performance and maintain high morale among staff.
• Provide hands-on instruction to ensure operational success.
• Maintain staffing levels to meet distribution goals.
• Support recruitment, hiring, promotions, and off-boarding when needed.
• Review performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop ongoing training and cross-training programs.
• Identify measures to improve warehouse processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
