Job summary

Vertical Cold Storage Llc is hiring for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Specialist in Dothan, AL. The role involves cross-trained warehouse duties, inventory control, and safe operation of forklifts and other equipment.

You will verify receipts and shipments, label inventory, and prepare products for shipment following defined procedures. Strong math, customer service, and teamwork are valued as you help maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred
• Forklift and other motorized equipment experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Strong math skills for counting and calculations

Responsibilities

• Verify items received and shipped by checking information and recording counts
• Maintain inventory by labeling and locating materials
• Prepare products for shipment and securely load
• Document shipment details using defined processes
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift, power jack, high lift)
• Maintain certifications and safe operating procedures for equipment
• Inspect and maintain material-handling equipment and perform pre-use checks
• Use scanners to track inventory locations and pallet placements
• Ensure pallet and case integrity, report substandard items
• Label cases according to customer specifications
• Stack, restack, wrap, and unwrap pallets per requirements
• Insert/remove dividers between cases as instructed
• Maintain housekeeping and safety throughout the facility
• Support warehouse supervision and perform other duties as needed
